What to expect: Your first appointment will be approximately 60 to 90 minutes long. It will include an extensive medical history interview, a primary concern physical examination and initial treatment recommendations if needed. It may also include referrals for other laboratory procedures as required. Physical, mental and emotional factors as well as any contributing lifestyle and environmental factors are considered. The primary goal is for the doctor to gain a thorough understanding of your health in order to assess and develop a personalized treatment plan. The frequency and duration of follow up appointments will be discussed during your initial visit and will be dependent on your health needs and the services required (view Services).
Follow-up appointments are typically 15 to 30 minutes long and involve monitoring and adjusting the treatment plan.
How to prepare: Before your first appointment, we ask that you complete a comprehensive health intake questionnaire (found below). Please bring these forms as well as any available laboratory or diagnostic results from your medical doctor or previous Naturopathic doctors to the first appointment.
Extended Insurance: Most extended health insurance plans cover the services offered by Naturopathic doctors and Registered massage therapists.
**New Patient Appointments: Please note that new patient appointments are not available on Wednesday evenings. Wednesday evenings are reserved for returning patients.
**Children: Children under the age of 10 are not permitted in the waiting area alone. If you bring a child to a new patient appointment for either yourself or the child, they will be expected to be in the room with you.
